Such a great hotel in the heart of Madrid! Close to the action without being in a very noisy part. The service in particular was excellent; a big thank you to Barbara at reception! They took such good care of us and gave us great recommendations! We really enjoyed our stay!

Sebastian is a wonderful and amaz8ng bartender. He makes you feel very welcome and makes amazing drinks. If you come here, ask for Sebastian, he'll make sure you have a great time.

Barbara at the front desk was amazing to deal with and very knowledgeable about local area and providing suggestions.
She took such great care of us during our stay and was super friendly.

I absolutely loved this hotel! Everything was perfect — the room, the location, the breakfast, and, most importantly, the staff, who always had a smile on their faces and were ready to help with anything.

This is officially my new home in Madrid. I will definitely be coming back!

To round out our Moroccan journey, I decided early on that my I should make a stop in Madrid right after leaving Tangier. The way I planned this layover was spectacular and choosing Room Mate Collection Alba, turned out to be the perfect fit.

Alba feels like a super charming petit hotel. The dramatic middle staircase splits into a left and right staircase that catches your eye real quick. From the elevator button panels to the room direction signs on each floor, the Art Deco-inspired design details are seen throughout the hotel, giving it a stylish feel.

Our rooms ranged in size- some with two twin beds, the room I shared with my aunties had two full beds and my younger cousin had a room with a full-size bed. Each room had all the essential amenities, but it was the beds that truly stood out. The beds had crisp, bright white linens and were so plush- they made our overnight stay feel lux and comfy.

Alba's location couldn’t have been better. After checking in around 5:00 p.m., we were able to map out almost everything we wanted to see and do within walking distance. Being right in the heart of Madrid made it easy to soak in the city’s energy, wander around the cobblestone streets and truly make the most of our short stay. To top it all off, the front desk staff was awesome. A special thank you to Marcos and the entire team for their genuine hospitality.

Un hotel céntrico, muy bien ubicado en 'El Barrio de las letras'.
Su estilo es ecléctico, pero destaca el Art Decó.
Las habitaciones muy bien habilitadas, su desayuno muy rico y puedes elegir la preparación de huevos.
El personal, siempre muy atento a cualquirr solicitud.
La pasamos muy bien, estuvimos 1 semana.

A wonderful stay in Madrid. The staff were fantastic from check-in to check-out — warm, thoughtful, and always quick with great communication and assistance whenever we needed anything. The room itself was beautiful, well-designed, and comfortable. A special mention for Faku, the hotel bartender, who added a lovely touch to our evenings. The location is another huge plus — right in the heart of the Barrio de las Letras, within easy walking distance of so many wonderful things to see and do in Madrid. Highly recommend Room Mate Alba for anyone visiting the city.

Had a wonderful 2-night stay at the Room Mate Alba. The entire team was exceptional. Everyone was incredibly welcoming, friendly and always greeted us with a genuine smile, which made the stay even more enjoyable.

My room was beautiful, with a huge bed, a very comfortable mattress and some of the comfiest pillows I’ve ever had in a hotel. The breakfast was also excellent, with a fantastic selection of fresh, high-quality food. My favourite part was the daily selection of homemade cakes, which changed every day. The Toblerone cake and the passion fruit tart were absolutely delicious.

I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Madrid.

Great experience staying at Room Mate Alba! The reception staff were helpful and friendly. When we forgot a European power adapter, they offered many options. We staying in one of the attic rooms and it was great, enough space and had sky lights which opened up the room nicely. Within walking distance to great food and Retiro Park. Would recommend!

Excellent location, comfortable room, and wonderful staff that goes above and beyond! When I left my AirPods in the hotel room after checkout, the hotel promptly arranged for a courier service to get them back to me in the U.S. Highly recommend!

Perfect location to explore all the museums in Madrid. My flight from Toronto landed in the morning, and they let me check in at 10am, just amazing service. The room is well-equipped, spacious, and comfortable. Breakfast is delicious, typically Spanish fare as well as yummy homemade yogurt with lots of toppings.

Spacious, tasteful furnishings, cool vibe, incredibly comfortable beds – I’m over 2 m so a comfortable bed for me is a “tall order“. But as with any hotel, it’s the staff that makes or breaks it, and the team were all friendly and helpful – particularly Pablo at the front desk. Will certainly stay again on our next trip to Madrid.

Wir waren mehrere Tage im Hotel Room Mate Collection Alba in der Calle Huertas.
Es war ein sehr netter Empfang und obwohl wir vor der Zeit da waren, konnten wir unser Zimmer bereits beziehen.
Das Zimmer im 5. Stock unterm Dach mit Blick nach hinten war sehr gemütlich, toll eingerichtet und sehr ruhig.
Die großen Museen, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor etc. sind gut zu Fuß erreichbar, die Plaza Sta Ana und das ganze Viertel bieten viele Restaurants und Tapas-Bars.
Insgesamt ein toller Aufenthalt, vielen Dank an das gesamte Team.

Zentral gelegenes Hotel, dennoch sehr ruhig; Museen und zentrale Plätze in fußläufiger Entfernung; sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal; reichhaltiges und gutes Frühstück; Zimmer könnte etwas praktischer eingerichtet sein (nur 1 Stuhl, Kaffeemaschine im Schrank schlecht erreichbar)

This is the best hotel I have stayed in for a while. It is rare to find hotel rooms these days where you feel right at home. And the staff is super friendly and helpful. The interior design is perfect. And the location is perfect for exploring Madrid. Highly recommended!

We stayed here in March/April; Our room was located on 5th floor
=> Nice and friendly staff
=> breakfast till 12:00
=> check out by 12:00
=> Perfect location - calm and quite area but still very close to downtown
=> perfect bed with a Perfect mattress
=> the room is big enough to store your stuff
=> good-isolated walls
=> fast Internet
=> great breakfast and its variety- WELL DONE!!!!

1. Cleanliness 10/10

4. Sleep quality 8/10 there is an Irish bar about 50 metres away if you have a room on the front then there can be noise until 3am but it's not completely intrusive
5. Breakfast 9/10 great selection very good but not amazing
6. Staff, 10/10 we had an issue with the terms of the booking regarding is breakfast was prepaid for. Sorted out quickly.
7. Highlights. Beds really really comfy, pillows were excellent. Right next door the is a brilliant tapas bar/restaurant but your need some basic Spanish because English is unapologetically absent, very authentic, great food and extremely cheap!!

We arrived as Hotel Guests, and we left feeling like we were family!

We just had an amazing two weeks as guests at Room Mate Alba hotel in Madrid, Spain. There are so many wonderful reasons we loved our stay at this hotel.

The hotel’s location is perfect. It’s right in the heart of all the attractions we wanted to see. You can walk right to the major museums like the Prado, Reina Sophia, and the Thyssen. Plus, it’s close to the Royal Palace and the Royal Collection. There are also many other museums and attractions nearby, and if you prefer public transportation, there are several Metro Stations just a short walk away.

The rooms were perfect. The layout and design of each room made it easy to get around, with plenty of storage space. Even though they weren’t huge, I never felt like I didn’t have enough room.

Each day started with a wonderful breakfast. The breakfast area was open from 7 to noon each day, and the food options changed every day, making each day a little different and special.

Now, for the most important reason why I’ll definitely use Room Mate Alba hotel on my next trip to Madrid: the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I can’t say enough nice things about the staff, and I’m trying to keep this review as short as possible. Every question and request was met with a gracious, helpful response.

Staff were very helpful when I was in a bind. Incredibly grateful.

As a function of price, it's a great value. Rooms are new and clean and the location is hard to beat.
